The book was published in conjunction with the museum's exhibition Dotremont – Ode to Denmark, 28 Oct. 2011 – 26 Feb. 2012.
Dotremont belonged to the circle of Cobra artists with whom Else Alfelt and Carl-Henning Pedersen formed friendships over the years, and was one of the key figures when the art group was founded in 1948.
With the exhibition and catalogue, the museum wishes to showcase an artist who, with his personality and his entire body of work as a poet, writer, editor, art critic, and practising visual artist, has been a sparring partner for the museum's own artists, Else Alfelt and Carl-Henning Pedersen.
