"Carl-Henning Pedersen's Magical Universe - "Blue" for Inspiration" is about Carl-Henning's magical life and Carl-Henning as a master of fantasy, colours, and storytelling. The book is a teaching guide for "The Man Who Wanted to Catch the Sun", which is a biography of the painter Carl-Henning Pedersen.
The background for the two books is that teachers at Børneskolen Bifrost in Herning decided to focus the school's teaching on the person and artist Carl-Henning Pedersen for several months in the autumn of 2003. While children hear the good story of an exciting man in the biography, the teaching guide allows them to delve into Carl-Henning Pedersen's art as they engage with the described activities and subject areas.
Both books are richly illustrated with, among other things, the children's own works and Carl-Henning Pedersen's artworks.
