The Icelandic artist Svavar Guðnason (1909-88) made a significant contribution to abstract expressionist painting, but his expression is also characterised by Icelandic nature and has its own unique fundamental tone.
"Landscape and Abstraction" provides a good insight into the artist's complete works with more than 50 paintings from museums and private collectors from Iceland and Denmark.
